Today we began the last day of the first full week of school a beautiful Mass celebrated by Fr. Steven. Following Mass, Fr. Steven took some time to visit with our students and bless our classrooms. It was a beautiful end to a wonderful week of joy and learning. Thank you, Fr. Steven! At St. Ann Classical Academy, we begin and end our week with morning Mass. Christ is at the center of all we do for the greater glory of God.

Bishop Checchio was spotted welcoming back the St. Ann's Italian Festa on the campus of St. Ann's Church in Raritan on June 20, 2024. The Festa continues June 21 & 22 from 5:30-10:00pm for food, games, and family fun! The FESTA Mass will take place on Saturday, June 22, at 4pm at the Catholic Church of St. Ann with the San Rocco procession to follow.

This week, we celebrated a wonderful milestone at St. Ann Classical Academy with our Pre-K Moving Up Ceremony! Following Mass this morning, our school community remained in the church to honor Mary, the Mother of Christ, with a beautiful May Crowning.  May Crowning is a cherished ritual in the Roman Catholic tradition.  It is observed during the month of May, a month dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  It includes Marian hymns, prayers, and a solemn procession.  It concludes with the crowning of a statue of Mary with a crown of flowers, honoring her as the "Queen of May."  This act of reverence and devotion reminds us of Mary's unique role in salvation history and her eternal queenship in heaven.  ' There is a profound significance attached...

The quadrivium (arithmetic, music, geometry, astronomy) and the trivium (grammar, logic, rhetoric) make up the seven classical liberal arts of antiquity.  This is the education that the great minds of the past such as Plato, Aristotle, and Saint Thomas Aquinas would have received.  However, if you were to do a Google search on classical education, you would see much fanfare regarding the trivium, but little on the quadrivium.  So much so in fact, that one could easily mistake that classical education is nothing more than reading great books and learning Latin.  However, the quadrivium is not merely an afterthought tacked on to the trivium, but a vital component of the classically educated mind...

Last week our kindergarten students presented their Ancient Egyptian Pyramid projects. The past few months, the students have been learning about the world of pharaohs and pyramids. They've crafted, read, and written their way through ancient Egyptian history! The students had so much fun sharing their projects.

In Nature Studies, our 8th grade class dove into the cosmos by creating a scale model of the Earth and Moon! This hands-on experience allowed students to better understand their relationship in size and distance. The experience was eye-opening. Science is truly amazing!
